Five-year integrated Master of Public Health programme launched at SRMIST

Chennai: The School of Public Health at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Chennai has recently launched an innovative five-year integrated Master of Public Health programme. It is designed to nurture the next generation of public health leaders, preparing them to tackle complex global and local health challenges.
The programme is open to students who have completed their schooling-plus two examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. The programme has a strong curriculum that integrates global and local health issues, and covers epidemiology, biostatistics, health systems and policy, health project management and health research, while providing practical experience on research, data analysis and programme evaluation.
Graduates will be well-positioned to pursue diverse careers in national and international NGOs, research organisations, CSR initiatives, consulting firms, IT companies, health insurance companies, pharma and clinical research organisations, government health departments and academia. They can take up roles such as programme officer, research officer, project manager or pursue doctoral studies.
