Fire breaks out in four-storey building in Delhi, 4 including two children killed

New Delhi: A fire broke out in a four-storey building located in Shastri Nagar area of the national capital Delhi. The fire became so out of control that four people died due to it, including two children. Apart from this, five people have been saved.

The deceased have been identified as 30-year-old Manoj and 28-year-old wife Suman. His two children, aged 3 and 5 years, are also among those who died.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Surendra Chaudhary said, “A call was received at 5:22 in the morning, in which the news of fire in Sarojini Park in Shastri Nagar area was revealed. After this, local police, four fire tenders, ambulance and three PCR vans reached the spot.” Arrived.

The DCP said, “It is a four-storey building with parking on the ground floor. First the fire broke out on the ground floor, after which the entire building was engulfed in smoke. Despite the narrow streets, firefighters somehow reached the spot and extinguished the fire.” Tried my best to extinguish it.”

Fire officials said that after extinguishing the fire, a search operation was conducted, after which three youths, a woman and her children were rescued and admitted to Hedgewar Hospital.
