FIR lodged against Congress leader in engineering student’s suicide case, case in High Court

Bilaspur. Police have registered a crime against Congress leader Akbar Khan and his two associates in a case of suicide of a youth. It is known that engineering student Siddhant Nagvanshi had committed suicide last year. His father Virendra Nagvanshi had alleged that his son committed suicide due to harassment by Congress leader Akbar Khan. When police action was not taken, he filed a petition in the High Court. The victim’s father alleged that Akbar Khan had made a land deal. He had given the amount of the land to the seller through Siddhant Nagvanshi.

But that land was disputed and many huts were built on it. Akbar Khan repeatedly put pressure on Siddhant Nagvanshi to return the money or vacate the land. Siddhant continued to say that the person to whom the money has been given is not returning it.

After this Akbar Khan and his associates started torturing Siddhant. Justice NK Vyas, while hearing the case in the High Court, had reprimanded CSP Sandeep Patel for not registering a crime against the Congress leader despite having preliminary evidence. Sakri police has now registered an offense against Akbar Khan, Meenakshi Banjare and Faizan Khan under sections 306 and 34 of the IPC.
