FIR against Principal, case of teenager’s death

Ambikapur: In the case of the death of a four-year-old girl due to drowning in an underground water tank in the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Ambikapur campus, the police has finally registered an FIR under section 304 (A) against the then Principal Shashi Singh. In an investigation that lasted more than three months, the police found that the underground water tank of the DIET campus did not have a lid.

chhattisgarh news In the name of lid, the bench plank of the institute was placed in an unsafe manner. As soon as the innocent girl stepped on it, she lost her balance and fell. Due to this she died. Regarding the incident that took place on March 12, 2024, the victim’s family has filed a complaint in the court through an advocate. There are allegations of negligence in it. Here, after the complaint in the court, there was pressure on the police to investigate quickly. After about three and a half months, the police have finally registered an FIR against the then Principal.
