FIR against fiery MP Mahua Moitra

In fact, Mahua is accused of making indecent remarks on National Commission for Women chairperson Rekha Sharma in her post on social media site X. The Women’s Commission had given a complaint to Delhi Police on Friday. An FIR has been registered against Mahua Moitra for using indecent language.

Moitra had commented on the video of Rekha Sharma reaching the Hathras stampede site. In the video, a person is walking behind her and holding an umbrella. The video was shared on Twitter, with a social media user questioning why Rekha Sharma cannot carry her umbrella.
Mahua Moitra responded to the tweet, saying, “She (Rekha Sharma) is too busy handling her boss’s pyjamas.” The lewd comment drew a sharp response from the NCW, which sought an FIR against Moitra. The Commission said in a statement that the lewd comment is derogatory and violates a woman’s right to dignity. The National Commission for Women has taken suo motu cognizance of the derogatory remarks made by MP Mahua Moitra against NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma.
