Greater Noida (IANS) | A horrific accident took place on the Yamuna Expressway in the early hours of Thursday. In this accident, the head constable of Haryana Police and his personal driver were killed. The accident took place due to the uncontrolled Ertiga car falling down from the expressway. Six others, including two ASIs, were injured in the accident. There were a total of 9 people in the car, who were coming from Chhattisgarh. According to the information received, women head constable Babita and other police personnel posted in Sonipat, Haryana were returning from Chhattisgarh to Haryana after recovering a kidnapped girl from Haryana. All of them were traveling in Ertiga car. When his car reached near the Salarpur underpass on the Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida at around 5 am on Thursday, the car suddenly went out of control and hit the divider and overturned down the expressway.
On getting the information, the local police reached the spot, started the rescue work and took out all the people trapped in the car and took them to Kailash Hospital, where the doctors declared female head constable Babita and her driver Pradeep resident of Gopalpur, Kharkhoda district Sonepat dead. . ASI Vedpal, ASI Virpal Singh, Ulfat, Ramnaresh and recovered teenager were seriously injured in the accident. Treatment of all the injured is going on in the hospital.
