Fear of CBI and woman doctor duped of lakhs of rupees
Bilaspur news. A case of online fraud of 62 lakh rupees has come to light from a woman doctor. The accused have committed the crime by giving the false hope of getting drugs in the parcel. They gave the false hope of getting drugs in the parcel that came from Dubai, then introduced themselves as CBI officers and got the money transferred online. On the complaint of the case, the Range Cyber Police has started investigating the matter.
According to the information, Vishakha Dey, a resident of Link Road Mitra Vihar Colony, is a doctor in a private hospital in Hasaud of Sakti district. On September 12, an unknown person called her mobile, introducing himself as an employee of Mumbai Parcel Office and said that a parcel was booked from Mumbai to Dubai, that parcel got cancelled and police uniform, ATM card, drugs called Ketamine were found in it. It has been seized by Mumbai Customs Department. He also told that the said parcel has Dr. Dey’s Aadhaar card, mobile number and address. On this, Dr. Dey said that he did not know about the parcel. On this he was told that the matter has been handed over to the CBI.
After this, a call was made to him posing as a CBI officer and he was told to check his belongings and bank account. He was told to send the money deposited in the account to the bank account mentioned by him and return the money after two hours of the investigation. Out of fear, Dr. Day transferred the amount deposited in the account to the bank account mentioned by him, but when the money was not returned even after two hours and he called on his mobile, it was said that the mobile was switched off. Then he realized that he had been duped online. After this, he reached the cyber police station and complained about the matter.
