A father carried his daughter’s dead body for a few kilometers on a bike. Scenes related to this incident are going viral on social media.

Madhuri Goud, daughter of Laxman Singh Goud of Kota village in Madhya Pradesh’s Shadol district, fell seriously ill on May 12. She was shifted to Shadol district hospital on the same day. Madhuri, who was suffering from sickle cell disease, died after two days of treatment. Her family members appealed to the hospital doctors to arrange an ambulance to take the dead body to Kota village. But an ambulance was not arranged. They said that they will provide an ambulance only up to 15 kilometers and it will be difficult for them up to 70 kilometers.

Laxman Singh took his daughter’s dead body on a bike with the help of a relative. A person filmed these scenes and made them viral on social media. District Collector Vandana Vaidya reacted to this video. Laxman Singh was stopped on the way. District Hospital Civil Surgeon Dr. GS Parihar was called and ordered to prepare an ambulance. An ambulance was arranged immediately and Madhuri’s dead body was taken to her native village. The collector supported the family by providing financial assistance.
