Farmers will plant 10,000 saplings in Yamunanagar
Yamunanagar: To promote plantation in the district, farmers under the banner of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) will plant 10,000 saplings in Yamunanagar district during the rainy season. BKU organised the programme to launch the plantation drive at Unkori village in Radaur subdivision.
Chief guest Aditya Pratap Dabas started the drive by planting a Kadam sapling at the village temple. BKS state general secretary Rambir Singh Chauhan said that 150 saplings were distributed to the farmers. They also took a pledge to take care of the planted saplings. The chief guest said, “The government is providing saplings for free. Everyone should plant as many saplings as possible to save life and environment on earth.” BKS district president Pintu Rana said that farmers will plant 10,000 saplings in the district during the rainy season. Unkori village sarpanch Mohit Rana, farmers Om Prakash, Pradeep Rana, Sher Singh, Neeraj Rana, Sushil Kamboj and others were present on the occasion.
