Farmer Sukhsai is getting benefited by Rabi and Kharif crops

Jashpur. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the state government is constantly trying to provide every possible help to the farmers and to provide them the benefits of various schemes of the government. In this sequence, the Agriculture Department in Jashpur district is working towards making the farmers self-reliant by providing them the benefits of the schemes.
Farmer Sukhsai, a resident of village Ginabahar of Kunkuri development block of Jashpur district, has got special benefits from the schemes of the Agriculture Department. He has a total of 2 hectares of agricultural land, in which he was not able to do full farming due to limited irrigation facilities. Earlier he used to try irrigation through a well, but there were problems due to the unavailability of the pump. This year the Agriculture Department provided him an electric pump under the Shakambhari Yojana, due to which he is able to harvest wheat. Apart from this, the facility of solar pump has also been provided under the Solar Sujala Yojana by digging a tube well in his field, through which irrigation is being done through sprinkler system.
Now Sukhsai is doing farming in both Rabi and Kharif seasons. Earlier, where farming was limited, now with better irrigation facilities, his land is being fully utilized and production has also increased. Expressing gratitude to the state government and the agriculture department, Sukhsai said that these schemes have strengthened his livelihood and farming has once again become a source of profit.
