False case against farmers: Seeman condemns the act.

Tamil Nadu: Naam Tamilar Party chief coordinator Seeman has condemned the arrest of 22 farmers who were protesting against sand mining.
His statement on the matter:
Gravel was extracted from the Malappambadi lake under the Tiruvannamalai Corporation to level the ground for a DMK Youth Conference in Tiruvannamalai. A 30-foot-wide tar road was also constructed along the lake without permission.
In protest against this, the Farmers’ Rights Movement, led by Arul Arumugam, submitted a petition to the Tiruvannamalai District Collector and the District Revenue Officer, and held a protest, but no action was taken. Following this, the Farmers’ Rights Movement announced that it would hold a sit-in protest on December 14th, bringing together farmers.
In this situation, under the pretext of taking precautionary measures, the police have arrested 22 farmers, including Farmers’ Rights Movement leader Arul Arumugam, and sent them to jail. He stated that this action by the DMK government is reprehensible.
