Fake doctor arrested in maternal death case, hospital operating without license

Lormi. The police has arrested the doctor who was negligent in the operation in Lormi. The accused doctor had absconded after the incident, due to which the police were continuously raiding. After much effort, the police arrested the accused and sent him to jail. According to the information received, the police said that the applicant Durgesh Kumar Rajput, father Hiralal (23), resident of Salaya Chowki Junapara Takhatpur district, Mungeli, lodged a report in the police station on October 27 that on the intervening night of October 26 and 27, his wife Sharda Rajput (22 ) had brought 50 bedded Lormi Hospital for delivery. Due to some reason, the doctor of 50 bedded hospital was asked to be taken to the district hospital. During referral, the ambulance driver advised to take him to Anyay Hospital. Following the advice of the ambulance driver, he was taken to the local hospital at 3 o’clock in the night. His wife Sharda Rajput died due to careless operation during delivery.

While investigating the case, the police took action based on the report of death. During the investigation, Anya Hospital director Mahendra Sahu and manager Jitendra Sahu were summoned and interrogated. During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused were running the hospital fraudulently and did not have any valid documents. After which the police seized the file document prepared by the doctor during the delivery of deceased Sharda Rajput. Accused Mahendra Sahu and Jitendra Sahu called a doctor from outside their hospital and operated the hospital without a license and surgeon Nageshwarmani Patel was called without obtaining a degree. The operation was done in the hospital by fake doctor Nageshwaramani Patel.
