Fagun Mela in Dantewada from March 5

Dantewada. Phagun Mela will be held in Dantewada from 5 to 15 March. Every day special prayers will be offered to Maa Danteshwari. Along with this, 600 years old tradition will be followed by performing many hunting rituals. Before this, Trishul has been installed in Danteshwari temple on Basant Panchami. More than 1 thousand deities will reach to participate in Phagun Mela.
This year, the temple committee has kept a budget of about 45 lakh rupees for Phagun Mela and the administration has demanded it. The special thing is that not only from Chhattisgarh and Bastar but also from neighboring states like Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra, deities will reach to participate in Phagun Mela.
Last year, for the first time, Medaram and Bhadrakali Devi also got invitation to participate in Phagun Mela. The goddesses accepted the invitation and participated in the fair. Last year also, about 1 thousand deities had participated.
