Excise team seized 50 liters of liquor, material and bike

Sarangarh Bilaigarh. On the instructions of Excise Commissioner cum Secretary R Shangita and Collector Dharmesh Kumar Sahu, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Excise Divisional Flying Squad Bilaspur Vijay Sen Sharma and District Excise Officer Sonal Netam, during village patrolling, the Excise Department received information that a person was flying from village Hardi towards Girsa. He is holding a two-wheeler scooter without number plate and has kept raw Mahua liquor in a jute sack and is going fast from Piparbhauna village towards Girsa.

Immediately the information was received, we went to village Girsa Piperbhauna road with the team. Seeing our vehicle coming, the unknown driver quickly turned the vehicle and started going back. He was chased. On being chased, the driver quickly took the vehicle to a narrow lane. Went there where the vehicle was chased by the team on foot. The unknown driver drove the vehicle across the field and ran away leaving the vehicle and its contents near a drain. The driver could not be found due to darkness.

Then along with the team, the vehicle present there was duly searched and the contents kept in it were searched. During the search, no number plate was found in the vehicle and about 40 liters of water was found in a jute sack in front of the vehicle filled with white colored polythene membrane and on the seat of the vehicle. 05 liters each was filled in the trunk below, 10 liters of liquor was filled in two polythenes, 50 liters of raw Mahua liquor was recovered, the vehicle and liquor found on the spot were confiscated and possession excise was duly collected. Chhattisgarh Excise Act section was registered against the unknown accused. A case under Section 34(2) has been registered and the driver and owner of the vehicle are being traced. Excise sub-inspector Vipin Pathak, excise constable Dhaneshwar Rao Magar, security guard Lochan Sahu and driver Rustam had a special contribution in the said proceedings.
