Excise Department took action, seized 15 cases of illicit liquor

Baloda Bazar. The Excise Department has taken action on illegal liquor in the district. The Excise team raided a house and seized 15 cases of illegal Goan liquor made in Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, an accused has also been arrested.

As soon as the instructions of the newly appointed Excise Commissioner JP Pathak are received, the Balodabazar Excise Department has started cracking down on illegal liquor traders. Under this, the team of District Excise Department raided a house in Bansankara village of Simga area and seized 15 boxes of illegal Goan liquor made in Madhya Pradesh for illegal sale. The cost of the seized liquor is said to be Rs 85,000. Accused Shatruhan Manhare father Samaru Manhare age 50 years has been arrested and action is being taken under the Excise Act.
