Ex-servicemen from Akhnoor project burning issues
Ex-servicemen Welfare Association Akhnoor in district Jammu, discussed the burning issues of the ex-servicemen during a meeting held at Akhnoor.
In a meeting of the Association held under the chairmanship of Lakhbir Singh, the members discussed various issues of the retired defence personnel. The main points/ issues discussed during the meeting included functioning of ECHS and CSD Canteen facilities. The matter concerning land acquired by Defence and compensation etc to be paid by Revenue authorities were also discussed.
While addressing the meeting the Chairman informed about the latest achievements of the Association during the last six months and appreciated all the senior Army officials for addressing the problems being faced by ex-servicemen in ECHS and CSD Canteen. He appreciated the move for upgrading ECHS Poly Clinic at Akhnoor.
He informed the veterans that they can use ECHS app for availing token online for OPD to save the time and avoid long sitting in the OPDs .
The president Santosh Sharma informed that the delegation of Association also met the newly appointed SDM Akhnoor and Tehsildar and requested them to look into the issues of the ex-servicemen.
The others present during the meeting included Capt Mani Ram, general secretary, Bharat Bhushan, Sham Lal Sharma, Bodh Raj Bhagat, Santosh Sharma, Karan Singh, Gurcharan Singh, Puran Chand Gurmukh Singh, Ramesh Kumar and others.
