Errors in OPSC exam papers: OCS Anthropology Main (Written) Exam to be held on May 14

Bhubaneswar: After major error in the Odisha Civil Services (OCS) Main (Written) Examination 2023 of Optional Paper (i.e. Anthropology, Paper-I and Anthropology, Paper-II), the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) today announced to conduct a re-exam for the same on May 14.
As informed by the OPSC on its website, the re-exam of the OCS Main (Written) Examination 2023 of Optional Paper (i.e. Anthropology, Paper-I and Anthropology, Paper-II) will be held on May 14 (Wednesday).
The Commission in a notification said that keeping in view the dislocation arising because of interchange of Questions of Anthropology Optional Paper- I & II in the Odisha Civil Services Main (Written) Examination-2023 held on 27.04.2025 and considering the grievances of candidates received by OPSC, the Commission has decided the following:
The Written Examination in respect of Anthropology Optional Paper-I & II of the OCSE-2023 shall be re-conducted on 14.05.2025 (Wednesday) for ensuring fairness and equal opportunity to the concerned candidates as per the programme detailed below.

Forenoon Session (9 AM to 12 PM.)
Anthropology Optional Subject, Paper-I
Afternoon Session (2 PM to 5 PM.)
Anthropology Optional Subject, Paper-II
However, the PwD candidates will be given one-hour extra time in each sitting i.e. from 9 AM to 1 PM & 2 PM to 6 PM.
The Admission Certificate & Instructions to Candidates for the examination will be made available on the official website (http://opsc.gov.in) from May 8 and the candidates can download it as per their conveniences.
It is to be noted here that the examinees who appeared for the OCS Main (Written) Examination 2023 of Optional Paper (i.e. Anthropology, Paper-I and Anthropology, Paper-II) on April 27 had alleged that the Question-cum- Answer Booklet of Anthropology, Paper-I contains questions from the Syllabus of Anthropology, Paper-II and the Paper-II had questions of Paper-I.
