Eligibility list of residents of old buildings will be displayed on the website
Maharashtra: The Housing Department has decided to make available on its website the eligibility list of residents required for redevelopment of old buildings in the city. This will prevent the interference of brokers in the name of determining the eligibility of residents. MHADA has made the entire process online, reducing the contact between brokers and residents. According to this, initially an eligibility list of more than two thousand residents will be prepared.
Since this list will be prepared by conducting a biometric survey, now the cases of mutual usurpation of the flats of the original residents will also be curbed. After that the eligibility of the residents of all the buildings will be determined. As the eligibility is determined, the concerned residents will get benefits during redevelopment. Redevelopment of some buildings could not proceed due to the lack of a ready list of eligible residents. A senior official of the Housing Department said that this decision has been taken due to this. Now any kind of tampering with the eligible list will also be curbed.
