Elephant creates havoc in paddy procurement centre, nearby residents in panic

Raigarh. In the district, an elephant broke the window of the paddy procurement centre. It took out 4 sacks of paddy kept inside, ate some and scattered some. In the morning, the departmental staff is busy assessing the damage.

According to the information, on Saturday night, a single tusker elephant came out of the forest and reached near Bangurasia Basti. The elephant entered the paddy procurement centre and paddy was kept near the window in a room here. To eat it, it uprooted the window with its trunk.

After this, it took out 4 sacks of paddy, ate some and scattered the rest. The forest staff and villagers had come to know about this at night. In such a situation, the villagers created a ruckus to drive away the elephant. The elephant returned to the forest late at night. The team of forest staff is busy assessing the damage. It is being told that the elephant comes and goes on the road every day during the afternoon and starts eating leaves. In such a situation, the forest workers stop the vehicles coming from both sides. So that there is no damage of any kind.
