Election campaign in Kerala: PM Modi will visit Coimbatore today

Tamil Nadu: Prime Minister Modi is traveling to Coimbatore on Sunday (March 29) to campaign in Kerala.

Assembly elections are scheduled for April 9 in Kerala. In view of this, Prime Minister Modi will campaign in support of National Democratic Alliance candidates in Palakkad and Thrissur districts. In Thrissur, he will campaign in support of Padmaja Venugopal, daughter of former Chief Minister Karunakaran, and will also participate in a road show. For this purpose, the Prime Minister, who will arrive in Coimbatore by plane on Sunday, will travel to Kerala by helicopter from Coimbatore. In view of his visit, drone flying has been banned in the following areas of Coimbatore: Neelampur, Chettipalayam, Ettimadai, Valayaru, Avinashi Salai, Peelamedu, Kalapatti, Podanur, and Eachanari.

In addition, approximately 5,000 police personnel have been deployed throughout the district for security. A three-layer security system has been put in place in the airport area.
