Elderly shepherd attacked by tiger, body parts found in forest

Kawardha. A heartbreaking incident has emerged from the district, where an elderly shepherd grazing his cows was mauled by a tiger. The incident has sent shockwaves through the entire area, leaving his family inconsolable.
According to reports, 65-year-old Guniram Yadav, a resident of Singhanpuri village in the Chilfi police station area, had gone to graze his cattle in the Soopkhar forest, a core area of Kanha National Park, as usual. When he did not return home until late in the evening, his family became concerned and began searching for him, filing a missing person report at the Chilfi police station that very night.
This morning, a team from the forest department, villagers, and police launched a search operation. During the search, a half-eaten body was found in the deep forest of Soopkhar Range No. 314, Police Station Mandla, Kanha Tiger Reserve, Madhya Pradesh. The condition of the body made it clear that it had been attacked by a large wild animal. Later, family members were called in to identify the body, which confirmed that it was Guniram Yadav’s. Marks of tiger scratches were clearly visible on half of the body.
