Elderly man crushed by car, died during treatment

Rajnandgaon. A 62-year-old man died in a road accident in Gandai city. An elderly man got injured after being hit by a speeding car. He died during treatment in the hospital. The Police is investigating. According to the police, a cyclist Chintaram Sahu was hit hard by a speeding car on the way to Bhurbhushi on Gandai-Durg Road at 4 pm on Tuesday.

The old man’s grandson was working as a daily wage laborer in a nearby house. When he reached the spot after hearing the sound of collision, he saw his grandfather lying on the road in a bloody condition. Somehow he got his grandfather admitted to a government hospital in Gandai.

Chintaram’s life could not be saved as he was seriously injured. The deceased had probably left Gandai on a bicycle to go home. The car got stuck near a petrol pump nearby. Police are investigating the accident.
