Elderly couple murdered with sharp weapon in West Singhbhum, Jharkhand
Ranchi (IANS). Unidentified criminals killed an elderly couple with sharp weapons in West Singhbhum. The incident is of Jomro tribal hamlet of Karaikela police station area.
The criminals carried out the incident late on Sunday night. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and got involved in the investigation. The people of the village told that Sakari Diggi of Adivasi Tola and his wife Baderi Diggi were resting in the house at night. Meanwhile, unknown criminals killed him with a sharp weapon.
Village head Gondua Munda informed the police about the incident. After this the police reached the spot and sent the dead bodies to Chakradharpur for postmortem. Police is investigating to know the reason behind the murder.
Villagers say that this incident is related to mutual dispute or witchcraft. The deceased couple has four daughters and all of them are married. Sakari Diggi used to do agriculture work. There is sensational atmosphere in the area after the incident.
