Eight-year-old dies in Adimali after food gets stuck in throat

ADIMALI: An eight-year-old girl died while having food at Adimali in Idukki. The dead is Jovana, daughter of Sojan of Adimali Polinjapalam Palliparambu. Jovana was a class four student of Koompanpara Fathima Matha Girls Higher Secondary School.

The incident happened last night. While having food, she suddenly vomited and developed other physical discomfort. She was immediately rushed to Adimali hospital but her life could not be saved and died Monday morning at 3 am. The preliminary assessment is that the cause of death may be choking while eating. This can be officially confirmed only through an autopsy.
