ED sent summons to Mahua Moitra
New Delhi. The Enforcement Directorate has sent a fresh summons to former Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra. Moitra had written a letter asking for some time from ED. She was to appear before the agency today itself in the FEMA case but she did not appear. Therefore ED has issued fresh summons to him. The central agency had issued a summon to Mahua Moitra last week and asked her to appear in the Delhi office on 19 February i.e. today. There are some cases against him under the Foreign Exchange Management Act, in which his statements were to be recorded. Moitra is also facing CBI investigation. She is facing the alleged case of taking cash in exchange for questions in Parliament, in which she has also lost her MP membership. BJP MP Nishikant Dubey had made serious allegations against Mahua Moitra and claimed that she asks questions in Parliament to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Adani Group.

In the month of December, the Lok Sabha Secretariat had canceled his MP membership. Moitra has also filed a petition in the Supreme Court regarding this, in which she has demanded the court to reinstate the MP. It is expected that Rs 13,000 crore will be recovered.” Adani coal scam will be with CBI after my witchhunt.
