ED arrested rice miller Roshan Chandrakar

Raipur. ED has taken major action today in Chhattisgarh Rice Millers scam. ED has arrested Rice Millers Association treasurer Roshan Chandrakar. Earlier the Income Tax Department had taken action in this matter. Now the entry of ED will increase the troubles of many more people.

It is alleged that association treasurer Roshan Chandrakar along with MD Manoj Soni collected bribe of Rs 20 per quintal. The amount has been given to the District Officer of Markfed. Through them it was conveyed to higher officials. During this period, more than Rs 140 crore has been recovered. During this time, the MD who gave bribe paid his own bill. Payment to those who did not give money as bribe has been stopped. The bills of many people have not been paid till date.

According to the information, Manoj Soni, who was the MD of State Cooperative Marketing Federation (Markfed), was arrested and taken into remand. Currently Manoj Soni is in jail till 28th May. After interrogating Manoj, ED has arrested Rice Mill Association official Roshan Chandrakar. ED is being interrogated regarding the chats and transactions found in the mobile phones of Manoj Soni and Roshan.
