East Siang DLMC Reviews Saturation Status of Welfare Schemes

PASIGHAT: The performance and saturation status of various welfare schemes, including the Dulari Kanya Scheme, were reviewed during a DDR-cum-DLMC meeting held at the DCās conference hall here in East Siang district on Wednesday.
During the meeting, issues related to food safety and social welfare schemes, electrification of major projects, shortage of teachers, legal assistance for court-related matters, and administrative infrastructure were also deliberated upon extensively.
One of the major concerns raised during the review meeting was the shortage of manpower in various departments under Group-C category posts, particularly lower division clerks and upper division clerks.
Detailed discussions were also held on the implementation of flagship central and state-sponsored schemes. Departments highlighted key challenges and requirements needing immediate intervention from the state government.
Chairing the meeting, the deputy commissioner urged all departments to maintain close coordination and ensure the timely submission of reports and effective implementation of government schemes for the overall development of the district.
MLAs Ninong Ering, Tapi Darang, and Oken Tayeng, along with Zilla Parishad chairperson Ruth Tabing Boko and heads of various departments, were present at the meeting.
