Earphones prove fatal: Youth dies in Balasore train accident after failing to hear train

Balasore: In a tragic incident, a youth died after getting hit by a passenger train in Balasore district of Odisha on Saturday. The train hit him while he was walking on the train track with ear phones in his ears.

Such a sad incident has taken place near Anand Bazaar overbridge under Sahadev Khunta Police limits in Balasore.

The identity of the deceased youth is yet to be ascertained.

According to the locals, the youth was walking on the rail track and talking on his ear phone when the train hit him. As per reports, the youth died after hit by the East Coast Express. It is being discussed that a precious life was lost due to carelessness.

Following the incident, the Railway Police Force (RPF) reached the spot and seized the body. Further investigation of the case is underway.
