E-auction of iron ore blocks of Khoda, Dadaroli, Todupura and Liloti of Karauli started
Jaipur : The State Mines Department has started the e-auction process for the composite license of 4 iron ore blocks in Karauli, Rajasthan and has made the tender document available for sale on the Government of India portal MSTC. On the instructions and initiative of Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, the Mines Department recently started preparations for the auction for the composite license of iron ore blocks in an area of about 1888 hectares near Hindon in Karauli. Mines Secretary Smt. Anandi said that indications of deposits of more than 840 million tonnes of iron ore have been found in Khoda, Dadaroli, Todupura and Liloti near Hindon in Karauli. E-auction will be conducted by the state government for composite licenses. New deposits of iron ore will also create new opportunities for industrial development and employment in the state.
As soon as the new government was formed under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, who is also the Mines Minister, the department has been continuously in action mode. For the first 15 days, a statewide campaign was launched against illegal mining activities, while the auction of major and minor blocks and RCC ERCC contracts is going on.
Mines Secretary Smt. Anandi said that the participants willing to participate in the e-auction of iron ore blocks of Karauli will be able to upload the tender documents from the MSTC portal till March 15. Participants willing to participate in the e-auction from anywhere in the country and the world will be able to submit bids till 1 pm on April 4. After this, there will be e-auction of Dadaroli on 22nd April, Khoda on 23rd April, Liloti on 24th April and Todupura iron ore block on 25th April.
Director Mines Shri Bhagwati Lal Kalal said that the department has issued notice for e-auction of all four blocks of Karauli Iron Ore. He said that detailed information in this regard can be obtained on the departmental website and Government of India portal MSTC.
Shri Kalal said that the department is making efforts to set a new record for e-auction of major and minor blocks. He said that by making the auction system transparent, people sitting anywhere in the country and the world can participate in the auction by registering on the e-portal of the Government of India.
Initial exploration has found indications of both magnetite and hematite iron ore. Iron ore deposits have been found in 462.3 hectare area in Khoda of Karauli, 754.38 hectare area in Dadaroli, 260.71 hectare area in Todupura and 410.94 hectare area in Liloti. According to a rough estimate, there are more than 840 million tonnes of iron ore deposits here. Magnetite of magnetic nature and Hematite iron ore of normal nature are available here. Blocks have been prepared for auction by RSMET.
Further exploration in this area through the auction of composite license is likely to yield more deposits of iron ore. Finding of iron ore in Karauli will give a boost to steel and cement industry in the state in the coming times. Many industries including iron ore steel industry as well as coal washing, ferroalloy, foundries, ceramic and cement industries will be able to get raw material for years and with investment in these industries and setting up of new industries in the state, employment and income opportunities will develop. Will be. Mining and exploration work is going on in Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Bhilwara, Sikar, Alwar etc. for possible iron ore deposits in Rajasthan.
