Drunken driver’s negligence caused major accident, 30 people injured

Shakti. A pickup full of passengers overturned in the district on Friday. About 14 people have been injured in the accident, out of which the condition of 4 is critical. There were more than 30 people in the pickup. Everyone was returning home from work. The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Seeing the serious condition of some patients, they have been referred to Bilaspur Sims. The case is of Sakti police station area.

According to the information, more than 30 people living in the Sakti police station area had gone to Lailunga in Raigad district two days ago to work as confectioners. Everyone was returning to their homes on Friday after doing work. Meanwhile, the high speed pickup number CG 11 BH 8439 overturned near Nandeli turn. The people around informed the police about the incident. The injured were admitted to Community Health Center Sakti for treatment with the help of 108 ambulances. Seeing the critical condition of 4-5 injured, the doctor has referred them to Bilaspur Sims for better treatment.

Eyewitnesses told that the pickup was at a high speed. The driver was under the influence of alcohol. Also, in a drunken state, he was driving at a high speed to overtake the Bolero, due to which this accident happened. People told that after the accident there was hue and cry.
