Drugs worth 300 crores: transactions done with crypto currency, connections related to terror funding

Greater Noida (IANS) | The Gautam Budh Nagar police got a big success on Wednesday. While recovering drugs worth Rs 300 crore, the police arrested a gang of 9 citizens of African origin who were manufacturing drugs on a large scale while living in Greater Noida. This gang also had a lab of its own. The police is probing the matter on several aspects including drug cartel, crypto currency and terror funding. Along with this, now other agencies including NCB can also investigate this matter soon. According to the Noida Police Commissioner, looking at the condition in which this laboratory has been caught, it can be clearly inferred that drugs were being made here for a long time. The police is also probing where this drug was being supplied in other states and cities of the country including North India. The police commissioner has also expressed the possibility that drugs can be sent to foreign countries from the drugs factory in Greater Noida.
The most shocking thing in this case has come to know that neither any ATM nor any bank account has been recovered from all the foreign nationals caught. After which the police have also come to the conclusion that all the transactions must have been done with crypto currency.
According to Commissioner Lakshmi Singh, no bank account, ATM or financial document has been found with the citizens of African origin. Initial inquiries revealed that money was being transacted through cryptocurrency. This is the reason why no documents like bank account and ATM have been found with them. How were these people taking money and where were they transferring that money? All these aspects are being investigated. His financial dealings and international connections will be traced.
Laxmi Singh also told that narco and terror connection has been a common thing. There may be a connection between the two. Police has given information about this to the central agencies. Complete information has been sent to Lucknow-based Central Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF). Both the agencies will cooperate in the investigation.
