Doncic delivers another impressive performance against the Lakers

Sport: At this point, you’d need a microscope to count how many times Luka Doncic will lose to the Mavericks for the rest of his career.
And Friday night was another reminder: Luka has saved some of his worst for Dallas.
Doncic and Austin Reaves combined for 73 combined points for the Mavs, leading the Lakers to their sixth consecutive win. L.A. still feels like a chemistry project as they bring LeBron James back into the rotation, but winning while making changes is a luxury most teams would die for.
And then came the highlight.
Barely a minute into the game, Doncic threw a perfect lob in transition, LeBron blew it away, and suddenly the building was watching a Wade-to-LeBron time machine.
That same swagger. That same “did we just see a 2012 reboot?” energy.
Given the way Luka went, doing that against Dallas was like adding extra spice to his popcorn.

The alley-oop wasn’t the Lakers’ cleanest moment, but it was the most electric moment of the night. The rest was more effort than glamour: L.A. gave up 40 in the second quarter, trailed at halftime, and didn’t fully take the lead until late in the fourth quarter. Yet they finished the job 129-119, remaining perfect in the NBA Cup and securing a spot in the home quarterfinals.
Not the best win. Not the tightest performance. But a Wade-Bron throwback from Luka and LeBron? This is the kind of Chaos Magic that Lakers fans will happily indulge in every night.
