Doctors removed a 10 kg tumor from a woman’s stomach

Thane. Doctors at the Civil Hospital in Thane, Maharashtra have given a new life to a woman by successfully performing a seemingly impossible operation. Doctors at the hospital successfully removed a ten kilogram tumor (ball of flesh filled with water) from the stomach of a woman. This operation was not easy for the doctors but they performed the complex surgery efficiently.

According to the information received, a 48-year-old woman selling vegetables in Ulhasnagar area was suffering from stomach ache for the last six months. Due to poor financial condition, it was not possible to get treatment in private hospitals. So she kept ignoring the pain. When she could not bear the pain, she reached the Civil Hospital for treatment. The woman was admitted to a government hospital in Ulhasnagar for treatment in the first week of January. On January 20, the doctors here referred him to Thane Civil Hospital for further treatment. When examined, a huge ball of flesh filled with water was seen in the woman’s stomach.

Under the guidance of the hospital’s District Surgeon Dr. Kailas Pawar and Additional District Surgeon Dr. Dheeraj Mahangde, the woman was operated on on Monday and a lump of water-filled flesh weighing about 10 kg was removed from her stomach. This operation was successfully performed by gynecologist Dr. Shreya Shelke and gave a new life to the woman. Actually, sonography and CT scan of the woman’s uterus revealed that there was a lump filled with water in her stomach. Therefore the surgery was quite difficult but the expert doctors of the hospital performed the surgery successfully. Doctors removed the lump after a surgery that lasted about two hours. Gynecologist Dr. Dr. Shreya Shelke, anesthesiologist Priyanka Mahangde and other staff worked hard to make this surgery successful.
