Doctor’s minor daughter dies of dengue

Jagdalpur: A case of death due to dengue has been reported in the city. However, it took a long time to confirm it. The father of the 17-year-old girl infected with dengue is himself a doctor. After the death of the girl, the health department officials suppressed the information. This is the first registered case of death due to dengue in the division.

According to the information, on August 23, the girl was referred to the medical college from Maharani Hospital, where she was found dengue positive in the IGM test. Dengue cases are being reported continuously and the highest number of dengue cases in Bastar division have been reported from Konta, where the number of dengue positive patients has crossed 180.

On the other hand, cases of dengue infection have also been reported in Kirandul Bacheli. So far 85 people have been found dengue positive in Bastar district.
