Doctor’s death, victim of an accident while going on duty
Janjgir-Champa. Two bikes collided face to face on Tuesday in Hathnewar village of the district. The doctor riding the bike died in the accident, while 3 youths riding the other bike were seriously injured. The accident happened in Champa police station area. According to the information, Dr. Chandresh Shriwas (31 years), a resident of Khapridih of Bamhnidih police station area, was coming to Municipality Champa for duty on his motorcycle. He was posted as a doctor in the Haat Bazar Mobile Unit Clinic operated under the Chief Minister’s Urban and Health Scheme.
On the other hand, 3 youths Shatrughan Nishad (22 years), Shantanu Nishad (22 years), Manoj Nishad (21 years) residents of Chorha Deori Korba were returning to their village by riding on another motorcycle. All three had gone to Korba for some work. Meanwhile, there was a face-to-face collision between the motorcycle of the doctor and the three youths on the main road of Hathnewar village on Birra main road. After the collision, both the bike riders fell on the roadside. Both the bikes were damaged in the accident. People informed the police about the accident. Police reached the spot and took the four youths to the hospital for treatment, where the doctors declared Dr. Chandresh Shrivas dead.
