Doctoral studies at Tamil Nadu Open University

Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu Open University is inviting applications for full-time and part-time PhD degree programs.

The details are as follows: Tamil Nadu Open University has over 48 vacancies for doctoral degree programs in subjects such as Education (9 vacancies), Management (6), History, Zoology, Physics, Media, Drama and Theatre Studies. Tamil Nadu Niranthanil University has invited applications for admission to these courses for the upcoming June semester.

The last date for applications and fee payment is May 7. The entrance exam will be held on May 17, and the face-to-face exam will be held on May 26. The final list will be published online on May 30.

Full-time research scholars are also awarded research scholarships from Tamil Nadu Open University based on their merit. Applicants wishing to conduct research projects on a part-time basis are advised to obtain an employment certificate and a no-objection certificate from the management of the institution they are working for. A doctoral degree from this university qualifies students to work as assistant professors in colleges and universities and to pursue promotion opportunities in higher education institutions. It is reported that the University Grants Commission has granted its approval.
