DMDK will be part of the winning alliance: Premalatha Vijayakanth

Tamil Nadu: Party General Secretary Premalatha Vijayakanth stated that the DMDK will be part of the winning alliance in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

A consultation meeting of DMDK polling agents was held in Vallipalayam, Tiruppur, on Friday.

Party General Secretary Premalatha Vijayakanth and Treasurer Sudheesh participated.

Speaking at the meeting, Premalatha Vijayakanth said: The DMDK conference is scheduled to be held in Cuddalore on January 9th. An announcement regarding the alliance will be made at this conference. A decision regarding the alliance will be made after consultation with the district secretaries.

Tirupur has a large number of workers from northern states. Therefore, we oppose giving voting rights to newcomers by cutting the votes of local people. They should have voting rights regardless of where they were born. A coalition government will be formed in Tamil Nadu in the upcoming legislative assembly elections. He said that the DMDK would also be part of that winning coalition.

Premalatha arrived late.

The meeting was scheduled to begin at 10 am. The administrator arrived at the hall early in the morning. However, Premalatha Vijayakanth arrived 2:30 hours late, at 12:30 pm. This displeased many volunteers.

So, they did not enter the meeting hall and stood outside and started shouting slogans. Tiruppur Mangar District Secretary Kandivel did not give them a formal invitation. They did not respect him. They shouted slogans, saying he was acting arbitrarily.

This caused some commotion. After the meeting, Premalatha met with the administrator.
