‘Dhurandhar 2’ and ‘Toxic’ will clash at the box office on March 19

Entertainment: This summer will begin on a thrilling note for Indian cinema, with two big films, Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic, set to clash at the box office on March 19th. Trade circles are betting heavily on this intense battle. While Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 will attempt to live up to the expectations raised by the massive success of the first installment, Toxic will ride on Yash’s immense stardom following the massive pan-India success of KGF 2. Interestingly, both films share a common thread that could play a key role in determining their box office collections based on audience response. Because Dhurandhar featured a high level of rage and violence, the sequel is expected to be heavily gory, fueled by the hype and hysteria among audiences. Now, the makers of Toxic have also hinted with today’s teaser that the Yash starrer will be a powerful story with bold content, explicit scenes, and bloody action sequences. So, it’s clear that both Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic will undoubtedly be censored with an A certificate. Typically, A-rated films struggle to attract family audiences, and this can be a detrimental factor in terms of collections, even after positive reviews and decent word of mouth. It will be interesting to see if the gamble of coming up with a full-length, violent script pays off and if both films manage to do well at the box office despite receiving an A certificate.
