Dharbandora’s Davkon village to get a new road on an urgent basis

 The procedure to build a new road leading to Davkon village in Dharbandora has been hastened. Since the old road goes underwater during the monsoon season, the Deputy Collector’s office has completed the process of building a new road that traverses through hilly regions. The deputy collector’s office has sent the file to the PWD for further development. 

The villagers of Davkon have to reach their homes through the jungle as the road submerges during the rains. The problem has intensified over the last three years as the Dudhsagar river floods. 

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had met the villagers two years ago and had promised to resolve the issue. Accordingly, officials led by Dharbandora Deputy Collector Nilesh Dhaigodkar have completed the survey to build a new road that would be around 1 km long. Villagers have also requested to resolve the issue of houses submerging during the monsoon. 

“The primary procedure has been completed and the file has been sent to the PWD engineers to begin the work,” said Deputy Collector Dhaigodkar.
