Devendra Fadnavis had said in Delhi that the lists are ready and the approval of the central leadership is awaited. Therefore, now the discussion of possible names has started. It is discussed that Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde) is adamant on the post of Home Minister and that is why Eknath Shinde was not agreeing to take oath as Deputy Chief Minister for the last few hours.

In this background, it is being said that the matter of the post of Home Minister has now been resolved. It is discussed that Devendra Fadnavis will take charge of the Ministry of Finance along with the Ministry of Home Affairs. Eknath Shinde may get the Urban Development Ministry along with the Revenue Ministry, while the other Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar may be given the Public Works and Housing Ministry. Meanwhile, it is being told that the ministerial list of the three ruling parties has been prepared. Many names are being discussed in it. From the Bharatiya Janata Party, which emerged as the largest party in the state, the names of MLAs Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Girish Mahajan, Pankaja Munde, Shivendrasingh Raje Bhosale, Atul Save, Madhuri Misal, Sanjay Kute, Jaykumar Rawal, Ashish Shelar, Ravindra Chavan, Mangalprabhat Lodha, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Atul Bhatkhalkar, Nitesh Rane and Gopichand Padalkar are in discussion for the ministerial post. In the first cabinet expansion done by Eknath Shinde, MLAs Uday Samant, Shambhuraj Desai, Gulabrao Patil, Dada Bhuse, Pratap Sarnaik, Sanjay Shirsat, Bharat Gogavale, Ashish Jaiswal and Yogesh Kadam are expected to be given ministerial posts. There is talk in political circles that the names of the concerned MLAs are also in the list of the third party Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar) included in the ruling grand alliance. It is being said that Chhagan Bhujbal, Dhananjay Munde, Aditi Tatkare, Narhari Zirwal, Anil Patil, Sanjay Bansode and Makarand Patil will get cabinet minister posts, while Sana Malik and Indranil Naik will get the post of Minister of State.
