Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri honored 40 drivers

Shimla. Himachal Transport Department has taken a unique initiative for women drivers in Himachal Pradesh. A workshop was organized at Hippa, Shimla on Wednesday for women bus, truck, taxi, auto and e-rickshaw drivers who take passengers to their destinations in the state. For the first time, women drivers of the state were honored in the workshop. Addressing the women on this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that under the initiative to make them self-reliant in the driving field, women will get priority and preference in making licenses in the state.

Women drivers were honored by Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri in the workshop. Professor Simi Agnihotri also specially participated in the felicitation ceremony of women drivers. In the program, about 40 women drivers took part in the awareness campaign and also shared their personal experiences. In the program, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri heard about the problems and challenges faced by women in work. Director of Transport Department, Anupam Kashyap said that women today are moving towards self-reliance and self-reliance. In such a situation, it is a matter of joy that there are more than one lakh 10 thousand women drivers in Himachal Pradesh.

He said that as per the orders of Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, a road safety awareness campaign is being run by the department. Women’s participation is also being given important place in this. He said that today the experiences of women were heard in this workshop, so that the system can be improved. During this, Kajal Mokta, a resident of Nerva of Chaupal, told that she can drive almost all types of vehicles, which includes small vehicles, bicycles and machines.

Today women are doing better work in every field, so they should come forward in this field also. Meanwhile, Bhavna, who drives a taxi in Shimla, said that she has been driving for the last 16 years. In this, he first started with a private vehicle, after which he started driving a taxi on a commercial vehicle. On this occasion, other women drivers also shared their experiences. During this, these women drivers asked the girls and women of the state to increase their participation and come forward in this field also.
