Demand for Lord Ram’s flags increased in Chandigarh
Chandigarh: Chandigarh witnessed a surge in demand for Shri Ram and Hanuman saffron flags as excitement grew for the consecration ceremony of Ayodhya on January 22. The excitement can be seen all over India, with local people decorating their vehicles with these flags. Huge crowds throng the shops around the temples of Chandigarh to buy these symbolic symbols. Flag seller Lalta Kumar Pandey said that there is extraordinary demand for it even in the cold season.
Lalta Kumar Pandey, a flag seller, said, “There is a lot of demand for these flags among the people and a huge crowd is being seen for these flags even in the cold season.” “The price ranges from Rs 500 to Rs 200,” he said. Meanwhile, Ayodhya is all set to create history with the much-awaited ‘Pran Pratishtha’ of Shri Ram Lalla on Monday.
Ram Lala’s ‘Pran Pratishtha’ is scheduled on Paush Shukla Kurm Dwadashi, Vikram Samvat 2080, which falls on Monday, January 22.
The formal journey leading to Pran Pratistha involved a seven-day ritual which began on January 16, 2024. , Tuesday, following classical traditions.
Earlier, on Friday, January 19, the idol of Sri Rama Lalla made by renowned Mysuru sculptor Arun Yogiraj was placed inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. The first picture of the veil-covered idol was revealed during the installation ceremony in the sanctum sanctorum on Thursday. Several purported pictures of the idol with open eyes went viral on social media platforms.
However, Acharya Satyendra Das, chief priest of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple, claimed that the viral pictures are not of the real idols.
“As per our beliefs, the eyes of the idol cannot be revealed before the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ is completed. The pictures showing the eyes are not of the actual statue. All procedures and rituals will be conducted as per our scriptures and beliefs. “Ram Lalla’s eyes will not be revealed until his life is consecrated.”
