Delhi government’s budget will not be presented today

New Delhi, The budget of the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi will not be presented in the assembly today (Tuesday). Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has told the Union Home Ministry the reason for not presenting the budget.

The Union Home Ministry has clarified that some information regarding the budget was sought from the Delhi government. The Delhi government did not provide that information. That’s why the budget is being stopped by the Delhi government itself.

The Lieutenant Governor’s office has denied Kejriwal’s claim. Rajnivas has said that the file related to the budget was received by the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat at 9:25 pm on Monday. Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena sent him back to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at 10:05 pm. It is also noteworthy that the finance department was with Manish Sisodia till some time back. This department has been handed over to Kailash Gehlot after he went to jail in the liquor policy scam.
