New Delhi : Many voters are facing difficulties due to errors made while filling out forms during the ongoing SIR (Special Intensive Revision) campaign in Delhi. After entering incorrect information in the original forms, a large number of people are now approaching Booth Level Officers (BLOs) with photocopies to seek corrections.
Voters state that minor errors occurred while entering details, necessitating subsequent amendments. The number of individuals visiting BLO offices with their documents to rectify their forms is steadily increasing.
BLOs Assisting Voters
BLOs are guiding voters on the correct procedure. Officials state that those who made errors in their forms can get in touch with the necessary documents; the correction process will be completed in accordance with the rules following verification.
Emphasis on Document Verification
The voter list is being updated under the SIR campaign, involving the verification of voters’ identities, addresses, and other details. The administration has urged the public to exercise caution while filling out forms and to provide only accurate information.
Increased Awareness, Yet Challenges Remain
While awareness regarding the SIR process has grown, many people are facing difficulties due to a lack of technical knowledge about filling out forms and a shortage of required documents. Election officials state that assistance is being provided at the BLO level to facilitate the process for voters.
