Delhi: Commercial cylinder price hiked by Rs 203

Delhi: The price of a commercial cooking gas (LPG) cylinder increased by ₹195.50 on Wednesday (April 1) following a rise in global oil prices due to the ongoing war in West Asia. In Chennai, it rose by ₹203.

Public sector companies like Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum revise fuel and cylinder prices on the first of every month, taking into account current international crude oil prices and foreign exchange rates.

Global oil prices have risen by approximately 50% following disruptions to the energy supply chain due to the West Asian war.

Therefore, the new price list was released on Wednesday (April 1), the first day of April.

The price of a 19-kilogram commercial cylinder used in restaurants was increased last month and has been increased again this month. As for Tamil Nadu, the price of a commercial cylinder in Chennai has increased by ₹203 and is being sold at a new price of ₹2,246. The price of a commercial cylinder has now reached a new high. In Delhi, the price has increased by ₹195.50 and is being sold at ₹2,078.50.

On March 1, the price of a 19 kg commercial cylinder was increased by ₹114.50.
