Delay in investigation into Karla Rajesh’s death: Mandakrishna Madiga

MRPS founding president Mandakrishna Madiga expressed his concern over the delay in the ongoing investigation into the death of Karla Rajesh, who died in police lockup. On Wednesday, he met Nalgonda District SP Sharat Chandra Pawar, Investigation Officer and DSP G. Ravi. Later, speaking to the media, he said that even after two months of assuming the responsibility as the Investigation Officer, there has been no progress in the investigation of Rajesh’s case. He said that the re-postmortem was done only under the pressure of the National SC and ST Commission. He also said that it is not known when its report will come. He demanded that the authorities complete the investigation of the case quickly and provide justice to the victims.

Krishna Madiga said that the SP had said on this occasion that a full investigation would be conducted by next Sunday. However, if the department officials think that they will be let off if the investigation is delayed, it would be a mistake, he warned, and that the movement would be intensified throughout Suryapet district. Moreover, since the investigating officers are in Nalgonda district, he announced that the movement would be organized here as well. That is why he said that after waiting for four days, the movement would be organized more vigorously after Monday.

Rajya Sabha seat should be given to our people.

He urged Leader of Opposition in Parliament Rahul Gandhi, AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge and CM Revanth Reddy to allocate one seat to Madigalas in the selection of Rajya Sabha members to be filled from Telangana state. Although Madigalas had previously won two parliamentary seats from Telangana, he wanted to provide two Madigalas with an opportunity in the Rajya Sabha as well. He criticized CM Revanth Reddy, who claimed that he got his political future only because of Madigalas, for doing injustice to Madigalas in every situation from being the PCC president to becoming the CM. He criticized that Madigalas were shown a stubborn hand in the assembly and parliament elections as well as in the legislative council elections. He demanded that CM Revanth Reddy take the initiative to ensure that Madigalas get the Rajya Sabha seat to make up for the loss done so far. Otherwise, he warned that Madigalas will teach the Congress party a befitting lesson in the coming days. MSP district president Srinivas Madiga, state leader Medi Shankar, MRPS state vice president Sunil, district general secretary Tari Edukondalu, Erasani Gopal, and Kurapati Kamalamma participated in the program.
