Debt laden son’s parents murdered, both arrested

Kawardha. In Kawardha, upset with their son’s demand for loan and money, his parents murdered him together. The couple first electrocuted their son and then strangulated him to death with the noose of a saree. The incident took place in Ghughri village of Kawardha police station area. The police have arrested the son’s murderous parents and sent them on judicial remand.

In fact, on the morning of 21st May, Raju Rajput was found lying dead near his Bor house in the fields of village Ghugri. When the police reached the spot, they found injury marks on the neck, head, hands, legs, knees and stomach of the deceased. The police linked the case to murder and started investigation. The PM report of the deceased revealed that he was murdered by strangulation. In this case, crime 302 was registered against unknown accused in Kawardha police station. The police team thoroughly investigated the murder of deceased Raju Singh and interrogated his family members. Statements were being changed repeatedly by the parents during interrogation. On strict interrogation, the deceased’s father Jagdish Rajput and mother Kumari Rajput told that son Raju Singh Rajput had become addicted to gambling and betting by falling in bad company. He used to spend the money kept at home in gambling and betting due to which he had a debt of lakhs of rupees.
