Deadly attack on police team which went to resolve dispute between two groups

Jaunpur: A case of attack on police which went to resolve dispute between two groups has come to light in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh. A police officer gave this information on Saturday.

He told that the police team was informed about the fight from Bankat village under Panwara police station area on Friday night. On receiving information about this incident, the police team reached the spot. Constable Radhe Charan Yadav and Home Guard Shubham Patel were investigating the matter.

Meanwhile, two persons named Virendra Gautam and his brother Chandrakesh Gautam along with their companions attacked the police team. Constable Radhe Charan suffered serious head injury in this deadly attack. This information was immediately given to other police teams. The policemen who reached the spot immediately took the injured Radhe Charan to Machhli Shahar Hospital for treatment. From here he has been referred to the district hospital of Jaunpur, where he is undergoing treatment. SP Ajay Pal Sharma reached the hospital and enquired about the health of the injured constable.

The police said that the entire matter is being investigated. The culprits have been arrested and a case has been registered against them. Action is being taken against them under the relevant sections.
