Deadly attack on petrol pump owner

Bareilly. Late Wednesday night, some people opened fire on the car of a petrol pump owner returning from Nawabganj at Satipur intersection. He and his pump manager had a narrow escape. The petrol pump owner has filed a complaint in the Baradari police station in the matter.

Varun Suri, resident of Rampur Garden, told that he has a petrol pump in Nawabganj. At around 11 pm, he was coming home from the petrol pump with manager Amit Maurya. As soon as his Thar car reached Satipur intersection. Similarly, an unknown person opened fire on the car. The bullet hit the car window, due to which he was saved. After the firing, the accused ran away abusing. Varun has given a complaint letter in Baradari police station demanding a report to be lodged against the unknown.

Inspector Baradari Amit Pandey said that a report will be filed on the basis of the complaint letter. At present, the footage of CCTV cameras installed around the incident site will be checked so that the accused can be identified.

Area Officer III Anita Chauhan said that the footage of CCTV cameras around the incident spot is being checked. At present, there has been no mention of any enmity with anyone. The accused will be identified and arrested soon.
