Deadly attack on mining staff, case registered on 10 non-bailable sections

Panduka Police has finally registered an FIR against those who carried out the deadly attack on the mining staff who had gone to take action against illegal sand mining in Kootena Ghat of the district. A case has been registered against 4 named and more than 12 other accused under 10 non-bailable sections including assault and rioting. Following the written complaint of Mining Inspector Subhash Sahu, Panduka Police has registered a case against 4 local accused and 10 to 12 unknown accused under various 10 non-bailable sections including assault, rebellion, obstruction in government work.

District Mining Officer Fagulal Nagesh said that on the night of January 29, on information about illegal mining, the mining team had reached Kutena to take action against the illegal sand mining going on. When the team reached at night, three chain mountains were engaged in mining work. More than 20 highwaymen were present on the spot. While the proceedings were going on, the sand mafia beat up the government employees. Today 3 Haiwa have been seized from the mine. Confirming the action, Panduka police station in-charge Suryakant Bhardwaj said, action has been taken against accused Mahesh Chhabra, Suresh, Kaliram Sahu, Rahul Bandekar and 10 to 12 named and unidentified people. An offense has been registered in the case under section 641,294,325,506,147,148,149,353,186,427 of the IPC.
